The surrounding nature is extremely dear to us, so we’ve started our journey towards becoming a climate neutral ski resort.
Although we’re only in the beginning of our journey, we’ve already made big steps to reduce our carbon footprint for winter 2021-2022.

Saariselkä Ski & Sport Resort runs fully with renewable energy, and we continue our climate friendly practices for securing snow in the slopes by using snow fences and doing snowmaking only in cold weather. In addition, our snowcats run on Neste MY Renewable bio-Diesel which decreases the carbon footprint of our slope maintenance by up to 90%.

Had a question about a board that I rented two years ago (wanted to buy a similar one) and they’re very friendly and helpful in sorting out which one I had rented. The rent very good boards. (Translated by Google) The best place to go on a ski holiday every year. Good ski slope, and teaching. Kaunispää is also the best toboggan run in Finland! (At least in my own opinion😉.) A good cafe where you can get good cocoa, pizza, and other pastries like Berlin donuts😋. I recommend visiting Saariselkä and experiencing all the beauties there.❤ (Original) Ihan paras paikka, käydään joka vuosi hiihtolomalla. Hyvät laskettelurinteen, ja -opetus. Kaunispää on myös suomen paras pulkkamäki! (Ainakin omasta mielestä😉.) Hyvä kahvila, jossa saa hyvää kaakaota, pizzaa, ja muita leivonnaisia kuten berliininmunkkeja😋. Suosittelen käymään Saariselällä ja kokea kaikki ihanuudet siellä.❤ Read more Read lessIida Hakamäki
