Slope Orienteering

Explore the ski area through self-guided slope orienteering! Pick up your orienteering map from the Service Centre during opening hours. When you return the map at the end of the day, you’ll receive a small surprise!

Tuesday

Ski Cross – 16:00

Join an exciting ski cross race! Skiers of all ages can participate, but sufficient skiing skills are required (ability to control speed in turns, handle small jumps, and ski a full slope independently).

Categories for alpine skiers and snowboarders. Participation is free.

Registration between 16:00–16:20 at the Ski School sign.
Prize ceremony at approximately 17:15.

Wednesday

Lift-Accessed Off-Piste Introduction – 14:00–15:45

Do you already know our best lift-accessed off-piste spots? We do! During this session, an instructor will guide you outside the marked slopes to easy and intermediate terrain according to the group’s skill level.

You’ll access the areas by lift, so no climbing equipment or previous off-piste experience is required. This is the perfect way to start exploring beyond the slopes.

You can join with regular skis, but for the best experience we recommend off-piste skis (available for rent). Price 30€/person.

Please note: This activity is intended for experienced skiers who can ski red slopes confidently with parallel skis. Age limit 13. Not quite there yet? Check out our Confidence Builders group lessons or private lessons.

Thursday

Saariselkä Slalom

Who will be crowned the Saariselkä Slalom champion? Challenge your family and friends to an exciting slalom race!

Categories for alpine skiing and snowboarding for all ages. Participation is free.

Registration between 16:00–16:20 at the Ski School sign.
Prize ceremony at approximately 17:15.

Friday

Park Session – 16:00

Come and session at our freestyle parks! Participation is free, sign up at the Service Centre by 15:30, where you will get more detailed information about the meeting place.

Evening Ski Touring – 18:00–19:30

Ready to try going uphill without a lift? During this session, you’ll learn how to use backcountry touring equipment and climb up Iisakkipää with headlamps. We’ll ski down an easy slope, so this session is also suitable for less experienced skiers.

There will be a break on the way up, including warm juice.

If you don’t have your own touring equipment, you can rent it for the session for €30. If you have already rented equipment from us, you can upgrade to touring gear for €10 (limited availability). Please note that splitboards are currently not available in our rental shop.

MINI Slalom – 14:00

Challenge your family and friends in a slalom race designed for younger participants!

Categories for alpine skiing and snowboarding. The competition includes two runs, and the winner is the one whose run times are as similar as possible.

Registration at the beginner slope area at the i4 lift between 14:00–14:15.
Prize ceremony immediately after the competition.
