The world’s darkest jazz festival Kaamosjazz celebrates its 40th birthday on 19.-22.1.2023! Kaamosjazz is Europe’s northernmost and one of Finland’s oldest jazz festivals, that is organised annually in Saariselkä and Inari. The legendary jazz festival introduces boldly different forms of jazz to its guests and you get to hear the front line jazz musicians of Finland. The program includes evening concerts, jams and in honor of the 40th birthday year the last festival day kicks off with a delicious brunch while listening to swinging jazz sounds.
Restaurant Lieggâ Láávu turns into rhythmic jazz arena on Friday and Saturday evenings. Multi talented and one of Finland’s number one saxophonists Linda Fredriksson Juniper takes over the stage on Friday. On Saturday we get to see, modestly speaking, the planet’s greatest beat boxer, Felix Zenger followed by Dalindèo, who’s known for their intense and catching live sounds, and being one of the hottest names in the jazz scene at the moment.
The evening continues on both days, with the chairlift, to restaurant Kaunis (Star Artic Hotel), where RD2ISDJ2 entertains the guests with playful rhythms.
