Saariselkä is a haven for mountain bikers
Welcome to Saariselkä! After mountainbiking was allowed on some of the national park trails, Saariselkä has quickly become one of the best destinations for mountainbiking in Finland and Finnish Lapland. It’s no wonder, since the Urho Kekkonen national park has up to 230 kilometres of marked trails for bikers of different levels! Some of the trails are maintained also during the winter, and you can find up to 80 kilometres of winter biking trails. We are opening for lift assisted downhill biking and MountainCarting during summer 2026!
Equipment rental shop and our restaurant Lieggâ Láávu are open daily during the summer season.
We also offer guided hiking and biking tours in the national park and nearby areas on request.
Saariselkä BikePark is, as the name suggests, the bike park of the fell resort. Its guiding principle has been to provide cyclists with easy yet skill-building trails on the slopes of the fell. Saariselkä BikePark is suitable for riders of all ages, and its first trails are especially well suited for beginner-level mountain bikers.
We open the lift-assisted downhill biking and MountainKart trail on 19 July 2026.
We offer the widest selection of rental bikes in Saariselkä for riders of all ages. Our rental fleet includes bikes for young children, children’s fat bikes, electric mountain bikes for youth, as well as adult fat bikes, electric fat bikes, full-suspension mountain bikes, and electric full-suspension mountain bikes.
Our BikeShop offers a selection of high-quality cycling helmets, gloves, sports sunglasses, clothing, and bike maintenance products. You can also book a bike service appointment through the BikeShop.

The MountainKart trail in the BikePark serves as the uphill access route when the lift is closed, allowing the downhill trails to be used with a conventional mountain bike or an e-bike even on days when the lift is not operating. Please note that, for safety reasons, riding uphill on this trail is prohibited during the lift’s operating hours.

Bike Patrol -service on Open Fell Biking -routes is included in all our bike rentals. In the case of an accident, for instance in the case of a tyre puncture, our bike patroller will assist you with the broken bike or brings you a new one if needed.

Summer pass
The Summer Pass includes access to the Luttojoki riverside sauna during public sauna sessions, a BikePark lift ticket, and the use of MountainKart until 20 September 2026. With the Summer Pass, you receive a 20% discount on mini golf and at the Lieggâ Láávu café, rental shop, and bike shop.
Saariselkä Summer Pass price: €150 / adult, €100 / child aged 6–16 (includes an Axess SmartCard).

MountainKart
Ride a MountainKart down the slopes of Iisakkipää Fell! MountainKart is suitable for thrill-seekers who are at least 130 cm tall.
The price includes one lift ride, one MountainKart descent, and the use of a helmet and safety goggles. You will need to bring your own gloves, suitable clothing, and sturdy shoes (no sandals).
Single ride: €15 / adult, €10 / child aged 6–16 minimum height 130 cm
Additional rides: €7.50 / adult, €5 / child aged 6–16 minimum height 130 cm
Bike Patrol-service
All of our bike rentals include Bike Patrol assistance within mobile phone coverage on the Open Fell Biking trail network.
In the event of a breakdown, for example if you get a flat tire on the trail, our Bike Patrol will assist you with the damaged bike and, if necessary, deliver a replacement bike.

Booking terms
The bike is your responsibility for the entire rental period, so please take care of it as if it were your own. Any damage to the bike that occurs during use may be charged according to the repair costs. The renter is not liable for normal wear and tear of the equipment (e.g. a broken chain or a punctured tire).
You may cancel your advance reservation free of charge up to 2 days (48 hours) before the start of the rental period. If you cancel 24–48 hours before the rental period begins, we will refund 50% of the reservation amount. If the cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the start of the rental period, the cancellation fee is 100% of the prepaid amount.
If you wish to reschedule your reservation, this can be done free of charge before the rental period begins, subject to availability.
